Describe in 2 sentences who you are and what you do.
I was born in Argentina and I am the only musician in my family. I am a percussionist since I discovered some plates and pots and started playing on them with two spoons.
Is there something you particularly like about the Kollektiv?
The moment these 9 people gather together and make this unique experience come true.
What would you do now if you hadn’t studied music?
I have been thinking a lot about this. I still do it some time. I would like to do something related to words and language. Nevertheless, my percussion setup would still be in my bedroom.
If you could choose: blind or deaf? And why?
Deaf. I can imagine sounds. Images are more difficult for me.
Which groundbreaking invention would make your life just a bit better?
Perfect weather the whole time.
Describe a typical day off.
I I am always happy just before this happens. In the moment itself it’s usually a struggle: what should I do, want to do, have to do…? One day is a lot of time for me. I rather think in moments which I can extend or reduce. Of course I like spending this time drinking mate, coffee, eating and resting more than usual.
What’s your favorite animal and why?
Nothing special: dogs. There were two very important ones in my life. I still miss them.
If you’d write a book, what would it be about?
The life of two persons.
What’s your favorite sound or noise?
If your instrument would be your flatmate, what would you tell him or her?
Make the marimba a couch to host guests.
